Emanuel Lutheran Church, 197 Manville Road, Pleasantville, NY.
The church is an easy walk from the Pleasantville train station. Pleasantville is just 15 minutes drive from the Tappan Zee Bridge; 15 minutes from White Plains; 25 minutes from the Cross County Center; 45 minutes from NYC or Danbury, Connecticut.

* Go straight through lights, past the Shell Station (on right), follow road as it curves, and church will be on the left side of the street, 3 blocks later. There is ample parking in the rear of the building.
(From the West side of the county, just take the Saw Mill all the way. From East take 287 to the Sprain Brook to the Saw Mill.)
From the North via the Taconic: Go south to Pleasantville Road Exit. Turn left towards Pleasantville. Go to the 3rd traffic light, which will be Manville Road. (If you go by the Grand Union Store, you've gone about a block too far.) Turn left onto Manville Road. (Follow from * above.)

Directions by train:
Take the Harlem Line from Grand Central Station. Get off at Pleasantville and come up the stairs towards the front of the train. At the top, turn right and then go left to the street. This is Manville Road. Turn right onto Manville and walk past eye-glass shop on the corner, the movie theatre, a parking lot, & the Shell Station. Church will be on left side about 4 blocks later.
Alternate routes in case of flooding on the Saw Mill River Parkway
When the Saw Mill Parkway is closed at Marble Avenue due to flooding, you have several options, all of which will get you to the church. None of these routes takes more than a few extra minutes.
1. If youre on the Saw Mill and you see
a sign that says the parkway is closed ahead, and you havent yet
crossed under the Taconic Parkway, take the exit ramp for the Taconic
(instead of going straight on the Saw Mill) and take the first exit
which is for Pleasantville. Its about a quarter of a mile away.
Turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto Rt. 117. When 117 splits
about a half mile later, take the left fork. This road becomes Manville
Road and the church will be on your left in about 8 blocks.
2. If youre on the Saw Mill and you dont
know its going to be closed, you will be forced off at the Marble
Avenue exit.
Turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto Marble. Go past McDonalds
(on left) and cemetery (on right), athletic field (on your left), Pizza
Hut (on your right), and then come to a traffic light. Go straight through
intersection and then at the end of the next block (by the Pleasantville
Diner), turn right onto Manville Road. The church will be on your left
in about 4 blocks.
3. If youre headed north on the Sprain
Brook Parkway, and discover that the Saw Mill is closed, stay on the
parkway as it passes the ramp to the Saw Mill (it becomes the Taconic
there) and take the next exit instead which will be for Rt. 117.
Turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto Rt. 117. When 117 splits
about a half mile later, take the left fork. This road becomes Manville
Road and the church will be on your left in about 8 blocks.
